Stripe coupons for existing customer subscriptions

With Refer-a-Friend programs, you can offer dynamic coupons and promotion codes as rewards to your customers. If you're using Stripe as your payment gateway, earned Stripe coupons can be automatically applied to customers' existing subscriptions.

How to apply Stripe coupons to existing customer subscriptions

1. First, set up a dynamic coupon reward, as outlined here.
2. In the reward section, select a Stripe coupon from the list or create a new one: 
3. Once a Stripe coupon is selected, an additional toggle will appear to Apply the coupon to existing customers: Please note that the option will only be visible when a Stripe coupon with promotion codes is selected. This feature is not available for in-app or Shopify coupons.
4. Once you enable this option, you will be prompted to select the product to which the coupon can be applied. Select one or more subscription products to which the discount should be applied:
5. Click Create.

With this setup, your customers can earn discount rewards by referring new customers to your product, and those rewards will be automatically applied to their recurring subscriptions.
